This busy and comfortable town centre locals' pub, located across the road from the stocks, was built in the early 1960s, replacing the former Black Bull Inn. Food is served all day until 9pm, and beer is served from 10am. Many sports TVs are scattered around the pub, but it is possible to find a quieter spot away from them if that is your desire. A pleasant outdoor drinking area is located at the rear of the pub.
